On May 24, 2026, acting on credible source information, police of Belakoba OP under Rajganj Police Station conducted a raid at Dhoperhat Baniapara area. During the raid, it was detected that Monojit Roy was illegally manufacturing illicit chullu liquor inside his house premises. Seeing police, the accused fled from the spot through the backside jungle.

 Two aluminium handis & one flannel

 Around 20 litres of illicit liquor Further, nearly 200 litres of fermented wash stored in 06 plastic jars were destroyed on the spot.

A specific case is being initiated under the B.E. Act.

 Illegal liquor is harmful to health and punishable by law. Citizens are requested to report such activities to police immediately.
