On May 26, 2026, at around 20:30 hrs, information was received from Shri Ranjit Adhikary of Panga Battala under Rajganj Police Station regarding the theft of a motorcycle bearing Registration No. WB 72K 3917 from the Raninagar BSF Camp area. Acting swiftly on the information, all traffic duty personnel and toll plaza staff were immediately alerted. During naka checking, ASI Sanjoy Sarkar noticed the suspected motorcycle and initiated a prompt chase. Sensing police presence, the rider abandoned the motorcycle near roadside bushes at Hatimore and fled from the spot.

Thereafter, ASI Sanjoy Sarkar along with other police personnel successfully recovered the stolen motorcycle from the area. The recovered motorcycle has been secured and further legal action is being taken.
