Based on a written complaint lodged by Samrat Das of Dhapganj regarding the theft of two LPG cylinders from his shop at Dhapganj Bazar on the night of 16.05.2026, a case was registered at Kotwali Police Station vide Kotwali PS Case No. 256/26 dated 27.05.2026 under Section 305(a) BNS. Acting swiftly on reliable source information, the police team conducted intensive investigation and raids, leading to the detention of one suspect and the arrest of receiver Rabi Roy. During the operation, police successfully recovered 16 stolen LPG cylinders, which were reportedly stolen from Goralbari, Kharia, and Mandalghat areas over the past one month.
