The Police Public Friendship Football Tournament 2023, organized by the Jalpaiguri District Police, began on August 15, 2023, the final matches for both men and women at the Jalpaiguri District Police Lines Ground. These matches featured the Maynaguri PS Male Team against the Banarhat PS Male Team and the Nagrakata PS Female Team against the Dhupguri PS Female Team. The Maynaguri PS men's team and the Dhupguri PS women's team emerged as the champions. Hon'ble MIC Bulu Chik Baraik, MLA Rajganj, Shri. Khageshwar Ray, Shri Rajesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, IGP, North Bengal, Shri Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi, IPS, IGP, Jalpaiguri Range, Shri Khandbahale Umesh Ganpat, IPS, SP Jalpaiguri, along with other senior officers of Jalpaiguri District Police and dignitaries, were present to award the trophies, checks, and recognition to the winning and runner-up teams, as well as the best players of the matches.
