Acting on credible intelligence, a team of Dhupguri Police Station in coordination with the SOG, Jalpaiguri, successfully apprehended two individuals near Dhupguri Railway Station More and recovered 90.6 grams of suspected Brown Sugar from their possession.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused disclosed that they had allegedly procured the contraband from Malda and were transporting it to their native place.

The entire search and seizure operation was conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and duly videographed, ensuring transparency and adherence to legal procedures.

A specific case under the NDPS Act has been initiated, and further investigation is underway to identify the source, supply chain, and other persons involved in the illegal narcotics network.
