On  11, 2026, various Traffic Guards of Jalpaiguri District Police conducted extensive traffic awareness campaigns at different locations across the district. The initiative involved active interaction with school students, local residents, vehicle drivers, and pedestrians to promote road safety and responsible road usage.

During the campaign, participants were educated on the importance of:

✅ Obeying traffic signals and road signs

✅ Wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers

✅ Using seat belts while driving or travelling in vehicles

✅ Avoiding mobile phone use while driving

✅ Refraining from drunk driving and overspeeding

✅ Using designated pedestrian crossings and footpaths

✅ Ensuring safety of children and senior citizens on roads

Special emphasis was laid on creating awareness among young students, who can play a vital role in spreading the message of road safety within their families and communities.
