Jalpaiguri District Police Crackdown on Bike Theft

On 15.06.2026, late night, acting on credible source information, a police team of Rajganj Police Station led by SI Subrata Sarkar apprehended two accused persons involved in bike theft:

1. Enjamul MD (24), resident of Bhutkirhat, Dangapara, PS Rajganj, Jalpaiguri

2. Sahajan Badsha (26), resident of Jatiakali, PS NJP, Jalpaiguri

During the operation, police recovered two stolen two-wheelers:

Hero Glamour bike (Regd. No. WB 74N 0693)

Honda Activa scooty (without number plate)

During interrogation, the accused persons confessed that the recovered vehicles were stolen from the Siliguri area by them and their associates.

A specific case has been registered at Rajganj PS vide Case No. 212/26 dated 15.06.2026 under relevant sections of BNS for further investigation.

The arrested accused persons have been forwarded to the Ld. Court.
