Justice Delivered Through Effective Investigation & Prosecution

On 14.09.2023, a case was registered at Kotwali PS vide Case No. 689/23 under relevant sections of the Foreigners’ Act after a Bangladeshi national, Babu Fakir, was apprehended by the ACP team of BOP Berubari, 21 BN BSF for illegal entry into Indian territory.

The investigation was conducted by ASI Haripada Patowary, Manikganj OP under Kotwali PS, and chargesheet was submitted in due course.

On 22.06.2026, the Hon’ble Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge, 4th Court, Jalpaiguri convicted the accused and awarded:

2 years Simple Imprisonment

Fine of ₹50,000/- (in default, further 6 months SI)
